Why Our Children Need Recess Breaks
More and more school systems are taking recess away from our elementary students. Some say they need to have more time to prepare for the state testing at the end of the school year. Others give the excuse that there are too many new aspects to teach in science, history and technology every year. The fact is we are facing an epidemic of unhealthy, obese children who will grow up to be adults with major health issues. This will add a great weight to our healthcare system. Insurance premiums will sky-rocket.
