Accountability has become a buzzword around most U.S. school districts. Across the country, schools and school districts are having to deal with increased scrutiny from a variety of government agencies. For many parents, this situation has turned into a tremendous source of anxiety and stress as more and more districts are proving to be less than up to par with the academic requirements established by their individual governing agencies. With competition for college admission increasing every year, parents are beginning to look for alternative academic options for the education of their children, especially as their local school districts continue to fail them.

The decision to homeschool a child is never an easy one. For most parents, there is always the fear of whether or not they are qualified to provide an education that is adequate enough to help their children learn and succeed academically. The evidence shows though that homeschooling a child, if it is done properly, can often lead to some amazing results, including higher test scores and increased rates of graduation and college admission.
